From Ethernet to Internet For communication outside of your own LAN, SICAM PCC uses the Inter Control Center Protocol (ICCP). The strength of this modern and powerful standard, also known as IEC 60870-6-TASE.2, is its versatility: in the Internet it will soon be as executable as in an internal Ethernet LAN or in an in-house intranet.

PROFIBUS, the market leader among the field bus systems, is used for field communication. SICAM PCC supports PROFIBUS DP for interfacing standard I/O modules. More than 1,000 manufacturers throughout the world use the PROFIBUS, which has been standardized within the scope of EN 50170. Use of this world standard opens up unparalleled freedom in the choice of bay control units. You can integrate units for a diverse range of applications in SICAM PCC.

Many paths towards information A specific message is supposed to reach the responsible technician each time it crops up? No problem for SICAM PCC: when a defined alarm occurs, faxes can be sent automatically to a specific number or defined messages can be sent to pagers. SICAM PCC's communicative capabilities also pay off in another direction: thanks to teleservice, most activities that can be undertaken locally can also be performed from a remote location.
