SICAM MiniRTU
 

The SICAM miniRTU is based on the SIMATIC S7-200 family. It is optimized for small to medium information volumes and processes up to 400 information points. In addition to this, the SICAM miniRTU also performs automation functions. The API interface serves for implementing customer-specific functions. The SICAM miniRTU has been designed for telecontrol tasks in public and industrial power supply networks, such as: processing and transmission of indications/measured values/counter values, and output of pulse and persistent commands, or of scheduled values.

Minimum configuration of a SICAM miniRTU

 

The modular SICAM miniRTU consists of standard hardware components of the SIMATIC S7-200 device family with the addition of the SICAM TCM TeleControl Module, the SICAM plusTOOLS parameterization software for the SICAM miniRTU, and the STEP 7 Micro/WIN 32 programming software.

The individual components are:

  • Up to 3 SIMATIC S7-CPUs, S7-224 or S7-226 version
  • Optional expansion modules (EM) for digital inputs and outputs and for analog measured value acquisition (up to 7 expansion modules per SIMATIC S7-CPU, with a maximum of 4 analog EMs)
  • Optional: Program supplements for the connection of protective devices with the protocol IEC 60870-5-103
  • Optional: Program supplements for the connection of controllers with the protocol modbus RTU
  • SICAM TCM telecontrol module
  • Optional: modem via RS232 interface
  • Run Time Components RTC for each SIMATIC S7-CPU
  • SIMATIC S7-CPU(s) - SICAM TCM connecting cable
  • STEP 7-Micro/WIN 32 (CD)
