Ideal Connection via the Power Distribution System



DCS 3000 RTU remote terminal units are ideally matched to the DCS 3000 communication system - seamlessly integrated in respect of equipment and parameterization, they provide all the usual telecontrol facilities. And what is more, they optimize communication whenever processes are less complex. Thus, DCS 3000 RTUs are tailor-made for automation of secondary substations. Regardless of whether medium-voltage substations in power supply utilities or in industry, DCS 3000 RTUs ensure optimum communication in all environments. Reliably, flexibly and cost-effectively.

DCS 3000 RTUs can readily be integrated in existing power system control systems, which are recognized the common protocols : those according to IEC 60870-5-101 (balanced / unbalanced mode), as well as those according to SINAUT 8FW (point-to-point and multi-point traffic). Thus, communication with SINAUT LSA substation control and protection system is also possible. In additional, Integrated Automatic Calling Service (AWD) is also possible for dial-up network. DCS 3000 RTU has reliable power supply, power processor, fast reliable parameterization, future-proof communications interface, RS485 interface for extended communication, telecontrol block, all relevant information visible at a glance and versatile by virtue of plug-in modules.

DCSTOOL for convenient parameterization
Self-explanatory, operator prompting masks guide to user quickly and reliably. The parameters can be created on a Windows standard PC. Together with the operating programs of DCS 3000 RTU, they are stored via the serial loading interface into the unit and are stored there in non-volatile form in flash EPROMs. Generation and loading of the parameters are carried out by DCSTOOL. DCS3000 RTU also provides complete documentation at a click. Thus configuration and all parameters can be checked at any time.
