Digsi 4
DIGSI 4 stands for easy-to-use and user-friendly parameterization and
setting of all SIPROTEC protection relays, whatever the version. The PC
program runs under MS Windows 95, MS Windows 98, MS Windows NT, MS Windows
2000, MS Windows ME and Windows XP PRO (excepted MS Windows XP home edition).
Like its predecessors, DIGSI 4 supports the communication at the rear
device interface by means of the IEC 60870-5-103 protocol. In addition
to this, this new version allows to connect various field busses such
as PROFIBUS, MODBUS, DNS, provided that the devices are equipped with
the corresponding communication modules. Because of its modular structure,
DIGSI can be used cost-optimized for the requirements in hand. For example,
for many standard tasks, the basic program is sufficient, but it can be
expanded with optional components to meet requirements immediately or
later on. Basic version DIGSI 4 Basis already covers most standard tasks.
These include:
- Setting parameters and routing
- Human machine interface
- Commissioning, controlling and checking
- Communication via a direct connection, via PROFIBUS FMS or other bus system
The complete version DIGSI 4 Professional has a greater functional scope than the basic version with the following additional modules:
- Display Editor - for creating and modifying default
displays and control displays
- SIGRA - for visualizing and evaluating fault records
- DIGSI Remote - for remote controlling of SIPROTEC
4 relays via a modem connection
- CFC - for creating new functionality or for changing the predefined interlock conditions
By the way: If you are already working with the engineering tool SICAM plusTOOLS, you can integrate the functionality of DIGSI 4 seamlessly into the SIMATIC Manager. You can use DIGSI 4 in conjunction with SICAM on the station control level without any problem, too.
