SIPROTEC DIGSI 5

DIGSI 5 is the versatile engineering tool for parameterization, commissioning and operating all SIPROTEC 5 devices.

Its user interface is innovative and it includes context-sensitive user instructions. Simply connecting to a device via USB enables you to work with it easily and efficiently.

DIGSI 5 allows you to connect to a network of protection devices and work with all of the devices in a substation in one project. It is user-friendly, displaying only the information required for each task. In addition, the displayed information can be further reduced using expanded filter mechanisms.

Basic Features

  • Allows connection to a network of protection devices so you can work with all of the devices in a substation in one project
  • User-friendly, displaying only the information required for each task
  • Has expanded filter mechanisms
  • IEC 61850 system configurator is used for system engineering of DIGSI 5 parameterized devices and system integration of DIGSI 4 devices
  • Supports substation configuration description language (SCL) configuration files from IEC 61850-6 through import or export of all formats (ICD/IID/CID/SCD/SSD/SED)
  • Single-Line Editor allows you to define a substation and the primary equipment graphically, and connect those elements to the protection functions of your protection devices
  • Display Editor allows you to design and edit the graphic displays of the SIPROTEC devices and convert your single-line diagram into a display picture. Symbols can be defined by you as well
  • Configure additional functions with the CFC Editor (e.g. interlocking of the devices graphically)
  • The Siemens IEC 61850 System Configurator allows you to configure and parameterize IEC 61850 stations by managing subnets, network communicators, and their IP addresses and connect the information items of different communicators
  • DIGSI 5 Test Suite provides a rich set of test tools to speed up commissioning phase and supports operations (e.g. creating and executing test sequences to issue device tests without external test equipment)
  • SIGRA analyses fault records (e.g. faults recorded in power plants) simply, quickly, and conveniently
  • Available in 10 languages  (English, German, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Czech, Polish and Russian)
